According to the latest 2025 data from the FBI, when it comes to scams the highest number of victims and the biggest losses were for those over the age of 60. People aged 60+ experienced:
- 69% of all losses from romance scams.
- 59% of all losses from tech support scams.
- 59% of all losses from government impersonation scams.
- 49% of all losses from investment scams.
- 48% of all losses from extortion.
